Felicity Volk is the author of two award-winning novels, Desire Lines and Lightning.
She was a career diplomat in Australia’s foreign service for almost four decades, with diplomatic postings in Bangladesh, Laos and, most recently, Nepal, where she served as Ambassador from 2021-24.
Since Felicity’s retirement from her diplomatic career in 2025, she has split her time between Canberra (Australia) and Kathmandu (Nepal), and is writing her third novel.
As a Director of the Australian Himalayan Foundation, she continues to contribute to development and climate resilience in the Himalayan region
